Parent-child activity

The course from September 2nd to November 11th is full!
If you’re interested in a next course, please send an email or text message.

Give your (grand)child and yourself a nice moment in the week to really enjoy each other and meet other parents at the same time. Activities and games focused on exercise. During the activities, the children come into contact with colors, shapes, numbers, math and language terms in a playful way. Moving and learning go together unnoticed! We will run, jump, roll, build and play ball and circle games, among other things.

We will start the lesson with a joint exercise activity. After which (grand)parent and child can make a choice from various exercise activities to do together. We will complete the lesson with a sensory activity to relax again.

The total activity takes 80 minutes. The lesson will last approximately 50 minutes. Then there is time for tea and coffee; just for socializing or to share experiences. The children can then play freely in a safe, child-friendly area.

The working language is Dutch. The lesson is easy to follow for non-native speakers, because much can be copied and the language used is adapted to the age of the children.

What does Solid stand for?
Solid stands for a solid, firm foundation. A child can develop better from a solid base. The movement lessons for toddlers can contribute to this solid foundation.

Exercise
Exercise is important for the physical and mental development of children. Exercise has a positive effect on many development areas. Children develop enormously fast in the toddler age, which is why it is especially important to stimulate the development areas in a playful way.

Learning
Exercise has a positive effect on learning. By moving, many development areas are stimulated. By moving in a varied way, the motor skills of the child will improve. If the child experiences that it can do new activities, it will have a positive effect on its self-confidence. The children practice their social skills because they work together, play together and have to take each other into account. The intellectual development is stimulated by, among other things, actively engaging in math- and language terms in the lessons. During the activities, terms are deliberately mentioned (“Throw the red balls in the red barrel”). The child will, in particular, learn to understand terms more quickly because it will experience them (“Crawl under the stick and then through the tunnel”). In the lessons the children are constantly experiencing depth, distance and height. This stimulates their spatial awareness.

Enjoying
The most important goal of the course is to create a fun moment for children and parents. A nice break in the day that both child and parent enjoy. All parts of the exercise lessons are focused on pleasure. If a child does something with pleasure, it will acquire skills and learn more quickly.

What is the benefit to the accompanying parent in the lessons?
The accompanying parent gives himself and his child a moment in the week to really enjoy his child. No phone, work or household but just a moment together. The lessons and the coffee moment afterwards are also a nice place to meet other parents. Contacts can be made or tips for raising children can be exchanged. The parent helps and encourages his child where necessary but the lessons are not a workout for the adults.
